Description:
Jack Bruce, one of the rock bass maestros, formed a unit called Jack Bruce & Friends in 1980, releasing the album "I've Always Wanted To Do This" and touring. As an outgrowth of this unit, guitarist Alan Holdsworth, who released his long-awaited album "I.O.U.", joined the band in place of Clem Clemson. French jazz violinist Didier Lockwood, who also plays with Magma, joined the band to form a true super band that performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival on July 23, 1982. Each member of the band performs their own songs in this unit's arrangements, and the entire performance is high in tension and pent-up excitement. Since the band has never toured as a unit and never produced an album, the release of this album is truly a miracle.
