Blue Nile, a trio unit formed in Glasgow, is known for its melancholic, electric sound, but everyone resonates with the band's ability to create warm, unique melodic lines with a human touch. Blue Nile has released only four albums. However, all of them have received high acclaim and support from top artists in various genres, and the band has collaborated with Robbie Robertson, Rickie Lee Jones, and many others. The album "Hats" is Blue Nile's masterpiece, and was recorded for radio broadcast during their UK tour in 1989 when it was released. Due to the popularity of the "Hats" album, Blue Nile embarked on their first concert tour in 1990, performing in the UK, Ireland, and the US. Although the tour consisted of only 12 shows, it was so accomplished that it became a legend.The concert in Manchester on September 13 of the same year was recorded and broadcast as a BBC Radio special. This release is based on the soundtrack used for the broadcast. The setlist consisted of the new album and the debut album, and the encore was cut due to the time constraints of the program. The 70-minute concert was perfect, and the audience was fully impressed with the band's potential as a live performer. This is a superb live album that allows the audience to feel the excitement of the audience towards the latter half of the concert. Bonus tracks include a performance on a popular British TV show on November 9, 1996, and the band's first US performance on July 23, 1990, in New York City.
