This is the sixth album in five years by the Swedish three-piece black metal band "Vartain". Formed in 1998. After the release of their fourth album "Lawless Darkness" in 2010, the band toured North America, headlining the North American leg of the tour. The album was nominated for a Swedish Grammy Award in the "Best Hard Rock/Metal" category. The following year, in 2011, the band made their first visit to Japan, where they thrilled black metal fans all over the country.VERTIN has been and will continue to be a leading band in the black metal scene for the past 20 years, and we hope you will enjoy their sound on this album, which has matured even further after five years of activity since their last album.Formed in 1974 by David Sylvian, his brother Steve Jansen, the late Mick Kern, Richard Barbieri of Porcupine Tree, and Rob Dean, JAPAN made its debut in 1976 under the (German) Ariola Hansa Records. Although their unique look and glamorous sound, which could be described as the original Visual-kei, were much talked about, they failed to gain recognition outside of Japan. However, in 1980, the band moved to Virgin Records, where they changed their sound to one that made the most of each member's individuality, and gained high acclaim in their home country of the United Kingdom as well. In 1982, just as the band was gaining popularity, David Sylvian and Mick Kahn broke up due to differences in musical direction. JAPAN's valuable live archive from their Virgin Records days has finally been released on CD! After moving to Virgin Records, JAPAN released the album "Shadow of Solitude" in 1980, which ranked No.45 in the UK Album Chart. JAPAN finally began to gain a legitimate reputation in their home country of the UK, and before their third Japan tour, they held a solo concert in London.The concert was recorded and broadcast as a BBC Radio special. This release is based on the sound recordings for the broadcast. JAPAN, which clarified its musical direction as a band with its previous album "Quiet Life," demonstrated these qualities at this concert and expanded its potential as a live band.
