Gary Moore started his career as a professional musician in the rock band Skid Row. It was here that he met Phil Lynott, who would go on to influence him in many ways throughout his musical career. Gary Moore joined Phil Lynott's Thin Lizzy in 1974, and although he did not become an official member, he participated in recording and touring. He then joined John Heisman's Colosseum II in 1976, where he gained attention as a high-tech guitarist. At the request of his old friend Phil Lynott, he joined Thin Lizzy, recorded the album "Black Rose", and started touring.
