After MTV's Unplugged program, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant formed a project for the first time in 14 years, and after the MTV concert program aired, the two officially announced their band and produced an album based on the MTV program material. The album "No Quarter" was released in November 1994. The album reached No. 4 on the U.S. album charts and was awarded a platinum disc, partly because the two had not performed together for a long time and partly because it was composed of Led Zeppelin songs. In 1996, the band toured Australia, South America, and Japan, following a tour of North America and Europe in 1995. The January 27 concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was recorded and broadcast as a special program on MTV. This time, the concert will be released with the best possible remastering following the discovery of the audio masters for broadcast. The set list for this concert was 17 songs, so this live album is a complete recording of the concert and consists of songs that differ slightly from the set list of the previous year.The band has matured and the live performance is excellent, reminiscent of their peak period in the 70's. The bonus tracks include four songs from the Argentinean tour before the Brazilian tour that same year.
