The band is still going strong as one of the top progressive rock bands of all time, and this rare live archive from 1971, at the dawn of their career, is finally being released on CD! The third album "The Jesus Album" was released in March 1971 and reached No.4 in the UK Album Chart and No.40 in the US. The concert in New Haven, Connecticut on July 4 of the same year, which was the last leg of the North American tour that started with this album, was recorded completely for the purpose of radio promotion and is now finally available on CD! Although the performance was short, as it was the opening act for the Grand Funk Railroad, the content of the performance was excellent and shows the band in its fast-growing state. Three additional bonus tracks from the band's triumphant return to London on July 31 of the same year are also included! Imported domestic edition. Includes obi and English booklet with bilingual translation.
