Tomoo Tsurutani, who is known as an extremely busy drummer, has supported Terumasa Hino, Toshinori Kondo, akiko, Masato Honda, Fried Pride, Dimension, Kojikanatsuru in jazz, Miki Imai, Satoshi Terao, Gospellers, Masaharu Fukuyama, Char in pop music, and many others. Tomoo Tsurutani, who has supported a huge number of musicians including Satoshi Gospera, Gospelers, Masaharu Fukuyama, and Char, has produced "jazz trYst" to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his debut. trYst" is the name of his project, and this is his first recorded work. The members are Yasuto Mori, a bassist active in the Swedish jazz scene, and Keiji Matsumoto, a former T-Square pianist who has been busy doing session work. The trio is anchored by saxophonist Norito Sumitomo, who has been gaining attention for his work with Bob James. In addition to newly written originals, M3 and M8 by The Beatles and live recordings from Club Ikspiari are also included. The sound is more contemporary jazz with a high acoustic feel than fusion. The high quality of the performance is not the result of individual skill, but rather the result of a delicate, transparent, and truly craftsman-like quality that emits a European texture with an eye to the overall sound.
