Featuring local collaborators active across diverse scenes—Sae Teramae, Ren Hirayama (StoneChild), Kaiki Ohara (Suchmos), Shoichi Uematsu, Yusuke Kurita (Hedigan's, The fin)—this album weaves together gentle, peaceful good music! Featuring Ren Hirayama (StoneChild) on slide guitar, Kaiki Ohara (Suchmos) – a DJ by trade – on groovy bass, Shoichi Uematsu on tight percussion, Yusuke Kurita (Hedigan's, The fin) on rich piano, and background vocals by Sae Teramae, who has performed as a duo with Fujimori since the project's inception.And featuring Kosei Terunuma from southern Germany—a band gaining attention as a contemporary Krautrock act—joining the full band live lineup, this is the first album by singer-songwriter Shohei Fujimori, aka SLOW BASE, crafted alongside his local Shonan area friends! SLOW BASE is a solo project by singer-songwriter Shohei Fujimori, formed in 2018. After releasing one EP and five singles digitally, he resumed full-scale live activities in 2023 following the pandemic. Based in Enoshima, he frequently collaborates with artists sharing similar sensibilities like maya ongaku, HAPPY, and Hedigan's. His sound, influenced by acid folk and jam bands, is also showcased in occasional band set performances modeled after the songwriter-band dynamic of Neil Young and Crazy Horse. These shows take place at various Tokyo venues like Aoyama Tsukimi-ru Kimi-omo-fu. This album was conceived around the idea of creating a collection of tracks DJs would want to play at the end of a night in the club scene. Kaiki Ohara (Suchmos), who has been active with the group since its formation, handled bass, production, and direction for all tracks. It is an 8-track album, including a cover of Maki Asakawa. The artwork, featuring silhouettes projected onto golden fabric dyed with actual plant-derived dyes, is a collaboration between the culture shop "ACE GENERAL STORE" in Katase Enoshima and Shoki Ogawa, known as Kodama of Kusaki Zome.
