The legendary band "SS" suddenly appeared in 1978, on the eve of the birth of hardcore punk. SS was one of the most important bands in Japanese punk rock, and together with INU, Ultravide, and Arnt Sally, formed the Kansai punk rock scene as the core of Kansai NO WAVE. SS is one of the most important punk rock bands in Japan. The world's fastest hardcore punk rock band, SS left their music to Alchemy. Some say that they made the Ramones sound like a bad version of the Ramones, but at 3 times the speed. It is recorded live in 1979 (36 songs, 34 minutes), but it is faster than the original hardcore guys later on. SS LIVE! is also a masterpiece representing the early days of punk in Japan, though it is often overshadowed by INU's "Don't Eat Meal.
