Slap Happy's Anthony Moore, whose reissue of the phantom album "Out" has been very well received. Another fantastic album "Lead Whistle & Sticks", which was supposed to be released by Polydor in 1972 but only 12 test copies were made, has been reissued in a miraculous original jacket! Anthony Moore is the founder of Slap Happy, an avant-pop band that is very popular in Japan, and also played in Henry Cow. Produced by Uwe Nettelbeck, who also produced Faust, this album was Moore's third solo album in 1972, but was rejected by Polydor, his label at the time, because it was too experimental. Only 12 test LPs were pressed, and they are a super collector's item, sold for 400,000-600,000 yen among enthusiasts. For this reissue, Yasushi Utsunomiya (ex. After Dinner) remastered the album with Anthony Moore himself, using a method of playing the almost unused test LPs while dripping distilled water on them. The sound is experimental, yet strangely comfortable. Enjoy the experimental, yet strangely pleasant, and sometimes unexpectedly unique soundscapes at the highest possible volume.The world premiere reissue of the original jacket, discovered in Uwe Nettelbeck's home, is a miracle. The CD-only bonus track is "Stimmgabel" (Tuning Fork), a previously unreleased work from the same period that has an interesting relationship with this album.
