Hazel Englihs teams up with Day Wave for the world's first physical release of their album "Real Life"! A gift for dreamy, sweet and sour indie pop fans! Hazel English, an indie-pop SSW from Sydney, now based in LA, has collaborated with Jackson Phillips aka Day Wave from 2021 to 2024 to create the album "Real Life", which will be released as a record/CD for the first time in the world! The album will be released as a vinyl/CD for the first time in the world! Real Life" is an album of 5 songs from the Summer Nights EP released in 2022, plus a single released after the release of the EP, plus 2 songs that were released at the end of the EP. The album contains 11 songs in total, all of which were co-written by Hazel English and Day Wave! Real Life" features many songs that go back to their roots in indie pop/dream pop with a comfortable bedroom feel, like the "Just Give In / Never Going Home" era before their debut album, and two of the songs on the album, "All Dressed Up and "Jesse," two of the songs on the album, also feature duets with Day Wave. Elsewhere, "Nine Stories" delivers a pleasant 100-point dream pop that will captivate any US indie fan, and "Summer Nights" is similarly a perfect mix of surf and lo-fi with a guitar sound and refreshing vocals. The song "When You're Around" is a dream-pop song. When You're Around" and "Heartbreaker" perfectly intertwine nostalgic melody lines with Hazel English's vocals, and the band's current mode of expressing the sound of their debut album and beyond is perfectly at home on this album. From the dreamy, sweet and sour summer romance of the songs to the nostalgia drowning sensation, the combination of Hazel English and Day Wave has proven to be a special combination for indie fans.
