This is the world's first CD release of city soul treasures from the private pressings, with the addition of a rare 7" single. The band's tasteful mix of blue-eyed soul AOR, urban modern funk, and melancholy Latin dancers is well balanced with their ability to train on the New York club circuit. Some of the members are active in the Swamp and CCM fields, so they are not just for club use! Rick Cua on bass/vocals, Tommy Rozzano on drums, Larry Arlotta on keyboards, and Ricky Chisholm on lead vocals/percussion formed this Syracuse, NY local soul/funk band in 1974. CRAC (named after the initials of the four members) is a local soul-funk band from Syracuse, NY, formed in 1974 by Ricky Chisholm. They started out as a cover band, but after changing members, they independently released their only album in 1980.The band features members who later joined Sea Level, as well as members who have supported Maynard Ferguson and Melba Moore, and the group's fully skilled lineup delivers a crossover style of mellow groove and city funk, including some technical instrumentals. High quality. The dusky mellow dancer "You're Everything to Me" is a masterpiece that will make both free soul and AOR fans swoon in agony!
