This is Holger Schukai's second album, produced over a period of nearly two years after Kang left the band in 1977, and is a brilliant and enduring masterpiece in the history of pop music. Almost all instruments are played by Schukai himself, but the drummer/percussionist is Yaki Liebetzeit (Kang). Cool In The Pool" is an overjoyed pop song with humor and a genius sense of editing in full bloom. Oh Lord Give Us More Money" features all the members of KAN, and is a masterpiece that is "more KAN than KAN" that KAN could not have made in the late 70's. The song was used in a commercial in Japan, and is a smash hit. The song "Persian Love," which became a smash hit in Japan when it was used in a commercial, is a wonderful fusion of an Iranian singer's voice picked up on shortwave radio and instrumental music, creating an inexpressibly melancholy, ethereal sound." The album is a vivid listening experience that evokes a variety of images, from the carefully edited and wondrous "Hollywood Symphony" to the "cinematic" "Hollywood Symphony.
