NEUE GRAFIK ENSEMBLE is a jazz project started in London by French DJ/producer/keyboard player NEUE GRAFIK, who has released EPs on 22a, the label run by Tenderlonious and others.The newest addition to the UK jazz scene, saxophonist Nubya Garcia, Allysha Joy, a female singer on the Manchester-based Gondwana jazz label known for her work with GoGo Penguin and others, and Brother Portrait from the spoken word scene will join the band for a crossover jazz showcase that ranges from thrilling session numbers to smooth, mellow tunes. The album features a crossover of jazz from thrilling session numbers to smooth mellow tunes! This is a very important work that corresponds to the new generation jazz scene in LA and around Brainfeeder such as Kamasi Washington, Thundercat, Brandon Coleman, etc. as well as the London jazz scene with the rise of Shabaka Hutchings, Yussef Kamaal, Joe Armon-Jones, etc.!
