Recorded in 1972, centered around keyboardist and percussionist Bobby Hamilton, this album was originally released on a minor New York label, but its superb sound and rarity combined to make it a masterpiece, so much so that it was called a "phantom masterpiece" among diggers! It begins with "Pearl (Among The Swine)" (A1), which cascades from an electric piano and vibraphone interplay into a funky groove, followed by "Priscilla" (A2), which offers a mellow groove with a soulful bossa nova feel. "In The Mouth Of The Beast" (A3), an Afro-jazz funk track where a spiritual intro gives way to percussive beats and horns intertwining relentlessly, and "Roll Your Own" (B1), which builds on an impressive bassline, gradually layering in electric piano, percussion, and horns to culminate in a killer funk track bursting with momentum.And the electric piano and vibraphone, along with the horn section, create an indescribable poignancy in the exquisite slow ballad "Dream Queen" (B2)—a killer album where every track is a hit!
