JWestern, a project by John Gooding, a SSW based in Leeds, UK, has released two EPs "Just People" and "Midnight Thoughts" for the first time in the world! Since around 2017, a new generation of pop sounding artists mixing Indie, R&B, Jazz, HIP-HOP, etc. such as Rex Orange County, Still Woozy and Easy Life in the UK and Steve Lacy and Yeek in the US have been active, JWestern is another artist who, like their current hitters, delivers a smooth indie/R&B sound. JWestern began playing guitar at the age of 6 under the influence of his parents, and at the age of 14, he discovered artists such as Rejjie Snow and Tom Misch on Soundcloud and was so impressed that he began creating his own music.JWestern's debut song "Call You Right Now" was picked up by more than 25 media outlets, and the killer tune "Aspirin" from their second EP is one that is sure to catch fire among young people right away. The album also includes "Check In," which combines dreamy guitar and powerful, fast-moving rhythms, and "Feel Like This," a soft-rock track that fans of Mac DeMarco and Michael Sayer will fall in love with.
