The original work is by Chiei Shinku, a popular manga artist who lives in Hiroshima and calls herself a drinker herself. The manga's main character, Wakako, is a self-possessed, spontaneous, one-woman drinker whose worldview is popular among men and women of all ages. The role of Wakako is played by Sawashiro Miyuki, who has been active at the forefront of acting since her debut in 1999 at the age of 14. Since her debut in 1999 at the age of 14, Miyuki Sawashiro, who has appeared as the main character in many animations and has a number of films to her credit, passionately plays the role of Wakako. She is highly regarded as an actress who has supported many productions with her sincere performance, and won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 3rd Seiyu Awards and the Best Leading Actress Award at the 4th Seiyu Awards! She also received a great deal of attention for her excellent performance as the third generation Mine Fujiko in "LUPIN the Third - Mine Fujiko," a major role she played in 2012. This time around, Sawashiro's "Pushu" (a key line from the original character) is also attracting a lot of attention!The opening theme is sung by Yuka Ueno, who sang the ending theme in the TV drama version.
