The hit theatrical animation by Yasuhiro Yoshiura, director of "Time of Eve" is finally released on Blu-ray! If you let go of her hand, she will fall into the sky. A sakasama trip spectacle, seen for the first time. Winner of the Excellence Award in the Animation Division of the Japan Media Arts Festival and other awards! Music by Michiru Oshima of "Fullmetal Alchemist" fame! --Once upon a time, a great cataclysm struck mankind. Then, time passed... A boy named Eiji looks up at the sky just before dawn. In Aiga, the world where he lives, the sky is an abomination, as "many sinners once fell into the sky. Then, suddenly, a "Sakasama girl" appears. She clings desperately to the fence and looks as if she is about to fall into the sky. Her name is Patema. She has descended from the underworld. When Agee holds her hand to save her, she pulls them both up into the sky. Pathema is horrified, and Age is astonished by an experience beyond her imagination. This strange encounter is the forbidden case that solves the mystery of the sealed "world of opposites. Meanwhile, Izamura, the sovereign of Aiga, receives a report that "Sakasaman" has appeared.Izamura orders the security police, Jak, to search for them... The limited edition is a three-sided boxed set with a new drawing by Daisuke Mataga, the animation director. In addition to the character and art settings, a luxurious booklet is enclosed, which includes a novel "Futari no Yume (tentative title)" written by Manabu Wakui, illustrations by Daisuke Mataga, and a staff discussion session. A special soundtrack CD with music by Michiru Oshima (25 tracks, approx. 30 min.) is included. In addition, a replica of the letter Ji reads in the film is also included.
Included in the package are: greetings from the Tokyo International Film Festival, greetings from the opening day of the festival, interviews with the cast (Yukiyo Fujii and Nobuhiko Okamoto) and director Yoshiura, "Sacasama no Pathema" (a digest of scenes from the film from the perspective of Sacasama), trailer edit, audio commentary by Yukiyo Fujii and Nobuhiko Okamoto and other cast members, and a special CD containing the film's soundtrack (25 tracks, approx. 30 minutes).
