Description:
Based on the story of "Dragon Quest V: Bride of the Sky", one of the most beloved of the national RPG "Dragon Quest" series, the first 3DCG animation film of the "Dragon Quest" series, directed and written by Takashi Yamazaki, a leading VFX artist, is finally completed! The film is written and supervised by Yuji Horii, the game designer and creator of "Dragon Quest", with music by Koichi Sugiyama, and directed by Ryuichi Yagi and Makoto Hanabusa, who produced "STAND BY ME Doraemon", the best staff in Japan. The film is brought to life by a superb cast of Japan's leading actors, including Takeru Sato as the main character Luca, Kasumi Arimura as Luca's childhood friend Bianca, Haru as Flora, the daughter of a wealthy man, Kentaro Sakaguchi as the selfish prince Henry, and Takayuki Yamada as Luca's father Papas. --Luca, a young boy, is on a journey with his father Papas. His goal is to get back his mother, who was taken away by the demons led by Gemma. On his journey, Pappas finally encounters Gemma and engages in a fierce battle with the demons. However, when Luca is taken hostage in a moment of weakness, Papas is unable to do anything about it and dies a horrible death right before Luca's eyes.Returning to his hometown, Luca discovers the diary of Papas, which tells him that he can save his mother if he finds the Sky Sword and a brave warrior. Luca sets out on another adventurous journey, following in his father's footsteps. He faces a number of challenges and the ultimate choice between Bianca and Flora, two women. What awaits him in the adventure ahead?
