Description:
Video Warrior Rezarion," a masterpiece of giant robot animation, is now available in an affordable, low-priced edition to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its first broadcast! This is a giant robot animation that marks the latter end of a series of animation works written by Saburo Hate and produced by Toei Honsha, starting with "Super Electromagnetic Robot Con Battler V" (broadcasted on TBS from March 1984 to February 1985). The character design was by popular manga artist Shinji Imura, character design by Hideyuki Motohashi, mechanical design by Kageo Obara, Koichi Ohata, and Akira Hio, as in the previous work "Kousoku Denjin Albegas," and music by Hiroaki Watanabe, with Kozo Morishita continuing as the series director. The main character, Takashi Katori, programmed a robot to play a game, but an accident during a material transmission experiment causes it to materialize, giving birth to Rezarion. As the only person who can pilot it, Takashi is assigned to the Secret Force and throws himself into the fire of war as a member of the Earth Federation Forces. The story is divided into two parts, the first half focusing on the lunar rebels led by Dr. Godhide, and the second half on the invaders from the planet Jerk. The eccentric design of the Resarion, which consists of a laser frame and laser unit, the hand-drawn CG-like drawings that represent the design, and the final episode, in which legendary animators such as Isao Kaneda participated in large numbers, were all the talk of the town at the time.
