Remastered version of "out of noise", his first solo album with commmons, released in 2009. Remastered with the addition of previously unreleased tracks under the supervision of Ryuichi Sakamoto. The director's cut version data left by Ryuichi Sakamoto himself has been newly mastered, and "- R" has been added to the title for a new release on LP, CD, and distribution! This quiet, all-instrumental work is the first original solo album without any synthesizers. The album features mainly piano and nature sounds, and invites a variety of string instrumentalists from different genres as guests, including Fretwork, an English ancient music performance group, Tamami Higashino, a sho player, Keigo Oyamada, Hirotaka Shimizu, Ren Takada, Christian Fennesse, and Rob Moose in the Gagaku Koyokai Nanto group. The album also includes "disko," "ice," and "glacier," which were strongly influenced by his experiences in the Arctic Circle, which he visited during the making of the album.The song "glacier" was later used in the films "The Revenant" (Alejandro González Iñárritu, 2016) and "Monster" (Hirokazu Kore-eda, 2023).
