The debut album by UNION, a rising electro-flavored artist from Paris recommended by the venerable US hip-hop label FAT BEATS, features an extensive lineup of US rappers, including Talib Kweli, Elzhi, Iron Mask, MF Doom, Guilty Simpson from Stones Throw, N.Y.'s Roc Marciano, ex-Little Beats, and more. Featuring a large roster of US rappers including Talib Kweli and Elzhi, Iron Mask and MF Doom, Guilty Simpson from Stones Throw, Roc Marciano from N.Y., Rapper Big Pooh formerly of Little Brother, Canadian underground giant Moka Only, and many more. The beat programming is inspired by J Dilla, with a hint of disco that is reminiscent of Onra, another Parisian beatmaker, but the heart of the music is a future funk melody like Dam Funk. The key is the future funk melody, which is just like Dam Funk. This is a new generation of hip-hop that is both "current" and "future" at the same time.
