The duet with Eriko Shimizu began in 2015 at Jazz First in Yokohama, Japan, at the invitation of Shinichi Kato. They brought together their favorite standard tunes, many of which were vocal songs of love and sorrow, but the songs did not become too dark, perhaps reflecting their personalities, and since "playing with Shimizu is fun," they have since held regular concerts to expand their repertoire and activities. This is a disc in which the performance as well as the selection of songs can be enjoyed.
