Still here! The amazing archival recordings of cult singer/songwriter extraordinaire PETER IVERS, written in Los Angeles in the mid to late 70's, have now been unearthed and released on CD. As IVERS himself wrote, "demos are often better than vinyl. They're more energetic, more soulful, more gutsy." The many rehearsal sessions and demos, blown to cassette and open reel tape at his home in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, and at his Hollywood studio, are rare recordings from the "TERMINAL LOVE" (1974) to "PETER IVERS" (1976) period. WINDOW WASHER"" with VAN DYKE PARKS, "NIRVANA CUBA WALTZ"" for the 1978 autobiographical musical "NIRVANA CUBA," "TAKE YOUR CHANCES WITH ME" which may have been the first release, ""CONFERENCE CALL AT FOUR""", "MY DESIRE""", "THE NIGHT YOU DIDN'T COME""", "AIN'T THAT A KICK""", and many more. The album contains 25 tracks in total, which reveal his original bizarre pop style with a simple sound of piano, drum machine, harmonica, and bare vocals. 24-page booklet. Japanese edition with Obi liner, Japanese translation by Ryohei Matsunaga.
