What have humans done? And where are we headed? These two songs ask questions about our lives as individuals and as a collective. The title track "ARGONAUTA," released after a lapse of about eight years, is a work for creation, with several scenes woven into a single piece. It begins with an epic solo voice, and the slow and rapid rhythm runs through the song as if it were a two-headed flow with the lyrics. The piece, which has a certain classical air, describes a world in which fragments of the ancient past, which have been sleeping, will be prophetically dug up and resurrected over time. There is not only fantasy, but traces of the history of people who lived and existed. If one can feel the great landscape behind this song unraveling like a scroll as they relive what they were seeing, then something may be coming. The single B-side includes a cover of Sarah Vaughan's "The Mystery of Man". The large folds of sound that envelop the entire song like an aurora and the voice like a shard of ice approach in a creeping, echoing response. In contrast to the title track on the A-side, the song's awareness of going back in history and tracing the origins of mankind as a mystery - a mystery - overlaps with the work of following in the footsteps of prehistoric man. This is the aspect of human beings and human history that is the theme of this piece. What have humans done? Where are we headed? This is a slow, droning work that skillfully draws out the strengths of the two artists.
