This 1977 Italian library cult album is the world's first CD release in paper jacket format, consisting of extremely gloomy short tracks with piano and synthesizer. The overall tone is gloomy and dark, dominated by a slow and relentlessly constant tempo, appropriate for thriller/noir type films or sci-fi horror movies of the 1950s and 1960s. However, the bright and peaceful tune of the last tune is a masterful piece of production that brings a sense of relief, as if to take the viewer away from the gloomy world of the previous years to a tropical beach. Over the years, this work has gained a reputation among collectors and library music freaks, and the original version is virtually unobtainable. This is the world's first CD release in a paper jacket that faithfully reproduces the original artwork.
