Their first original second album in 40 years is now available on vinyl! In 1986, a group of college clubmates created an album. The sounds captured on that record were filled with the impulsiveness of youth and a pure passion for music. The band’s name was WINDY. Drawing on the essence of AOR, soul, and funk, they successfully captured a fleeting moment of brilliance. However, that album lay quietly dormant in a corner of time for a long while. It was a small work that everyone had nearly forgotten. But music is a mysterious thing; it comes back to life at the most unexpected moments. More than 30 years later, DJNOTOYA—renowned as both a DJ and a curator—rediscovered its existence. The melodies that flowed from the dusty record still sounded fresh even today, possessing the power to move the listener’s heart. In 2020, tracks from the album were reissued as 7-inch records, and in 2022, the album itself is finally being officially reissued. The vibrant performances and heartfelt vocals captured the hearts of many listeners and eventually reached audiences overseas. It is truly a miraculous story. After that, WINDY began moving forward once again. In 2022, they released their comeback single, “When I Can’t See You.” The music that once marked their youth resounded once more after a long time, connecting to their present story. Yes, just as dots become lines, and time that had been severed comes together as one. And now, their long-awaited new album is being released. This is not merely the release of a new work. The chain of small miracles woven over a long period of time is transforming into a grand narrative that extends into the future.
