This compilation has been completely remastered in Tokyo and traces the major phases of Nocturnal Emissions and Nigel Ayers.From the raw, confrontational noise period of the early 1980s, rooted in squat culture and anti-capitalist protest, to the rhythm-centric era of dance floor energy infused with industrial roughness, to Ayers' later solo work, Neotantric , the ambient and ritualistic sounds of magick, ancient beliefs, and denatured consciousness, the spirit of subversion and transcendence has remained unfaded through the decades.
