This album features “Exotic Moonlight” and “The Rattling Train Goes On”—songs guaranteed to spark sing-alongs at live shows—as well as a cover of Jackie Yoshikawa and the Blue Comets’ hit “Blue Chateau,” and as a bonus track, an English version of their early signature song “Rock and Roll,” titled “Do the Rock Do the Roll,” sung by TOM in his native language—for a diverse total of 12 tracks. In particular, the title track “O·Ma·E·Ga·Ho·Shi·I,” sung with raw passion by drummer Yoshiki—who has been the backbone of the band for 25 years—is an absolute must-listen. While the addition of TOM, a young British guitarist, has given the band an even stronger UK flavor, this blend—combined with catchy Japanese rock—has elevated the songs to a whole new level of originality.
