Description:
A representative of 80's metal/shock rock! Formed in Los Angeles in 1983 when the so-called "LA Metal" movement was gaining momentum, the band was inspired by the name of a woman who is said to have been involved in a massacre that took place at the end of the 19th century. Known for their shock rock style started by Alice Cooper, Kiss, and others, the band is sometimes considered glam-oriented, but their musical sound was influenced by traditional heavy metal such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden. The band's energetic activity throughout the 80's, including studio albums that charted on the Billboard charts and were featured prominently in the documentary film "The Metal Years," established the band's status as a solid performer. The band has been active to this day, despite several periods of inactivity. This is their debut album, released in 1985. Despite their flashy appearance, the band delivers a powerful metal sound that is distinctly different from glam-oriented pop LA metal and thrash metal. Four demo tracks from the early days of the band are included as bonus tracks on this release.
