An expanded special edition of The Beatles’ 1965 album *Rubber Soul*.
Featuring new mixes by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okel, this release includes the new stereo mix, as well as the original mono mix and the original Capitol U.S. album version. It also includes previously unreleased session recordings, home demos, and the double A-side single from that era, “Day Tripper / Let It Be.”
It comes with an 88-page hardcover book that includes a newly written foreword by Paul McCartney, as well as a preface compiled from John Lennon’s own words. This preface summarizes John Lennon’s feelings about *Rubber Soul* throughout his life, including the period following the Beatles’ breakup. The book also features rare photographs, detailed background information on the album, and track-by-track commentary.
A 4-CD box set housed in a 12-inch × 12-inch slipcase, complete with an 88-page hardcover book.
