To commemorate the 50th anniversary of their 1976 Anaheim concert—considered one of the most iconic live performances in the band’s history—the legendary rock band KISS is releasing the live album *Destroys Anaheim ’76* (original title: *DESTROYSANAHEIM’76*). On August 20, 1976, KISS’s “The Spirit of ’76 Tour” (also known as the “Destroyer Tour”) arrived in Anaheim, California. Anaheim Stadium was packed with over 42,000 fans that day. This was the largest audience in KISS’s history at the time. The performance from this historic night was originally recorded by producer Eddie Kramer, and for this release, Eddie himself has remixed the audio from that concert based on the original multitrack tapes. Titled *Destroys Anaheim ’76*, this historic live performance is being released for the first time as an official album for the general public.
A 50th-anniversary live album commemorating the August 20, 1976, Anaheim concert—considered one of the most groundbreaking and significant concerts in the band’s history, as chronicled in *KISS Story*. The Japanese edition is released exclusively on SHM-CD. It includes a soft-pack CD case and a 60-page booklet packed with detailed, extensive liner notes by Ken Sharp, as well as previously unpublished photos and images of memorabilia. All of this is beautifully housed in a slipcase. Includes a Japanese booklet featuring a translation of Ken Sharp’s English liner notes, as well as lyrics and their Japanese translations.
