This is the major label debut album by Pakistani-born, Berklee College of Music graduate and now New York-based singer-songwriter Aruj Aftab. At the 64th Grammy Awards, Aarushi became the first South Asian woman to be nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist for her debut album, "Vulture Prince. At the same awards, she won the award for Best Global Music Performance for "Mohabbat," a song from that album. As the title suggests, this album focuses on "night". The lead single "Raat Ki Rani" is the name of a jasmine flower commonly found in Southeast Asia that blooms only at night. Participating artists include Vijay Iyer, Corsius Clay, Moore Mather, James Francis, Joel Ross, Khaki King, Maeve Gilchrist, Chocolate Genius, and many others, from the hottest musicians in the jazz world to various artists across genres.
