RC Succession's live album (including two studio recordings) released on December 16, 1988, is being reissued on analog LP vinyl for the first time in 35 years. Cutting engineer Shigeru Takezawa (Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd.) was employed to cut the album in 2023 from the original master. (Heavyweight (180g) LP record/33 1/3 r.p.m./ stereo/ Complete limited production) (Original release: December 16, 1988/Toshiba EMI/EASTWORLD/RT28-5380)Recorded live at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall on August 14, 1988, the day before the release of the previous album "COVERS". The album consists of a live recording and two studio recordings (recorded and mixed at Toshiba EMI's studio TERRA in Tokyo and Jacob's Studio in England) made at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall on August 14, 1988, the day before the release of the previous album, "COVERS". Kozo Araida(ds), Gee2wo(key, g, bvo).Supporting musicians include Mari Kaneko (bvo, vo, g), Shinji Miyake (bvo), Kazutoki Umezu (as, ss) of the Blue Day Horns, and Hiroaki Katayama (ts).I SHALL BE RELEASED," a Japanese cover of the classic song written by Bob Dylan and included on THE BAND's first album "Music from Big Pink," released in 1968, and later covered by many other bands. HELP!", the Beatles' 5th single released in 1965, a Japanese cover of the historic rock classic by Lennon McCartney, and "I SHALL BE RELEASED", a Japanese cover of the classic song that later spawned many covers. HELP!"; "EVE OF DESTRUCTION", a cover of P.F. Sloan's worldwide hit song for Barry McGuire, based on Japanese lyrics by Tomoya Takaishi; and "BILL NELSON'S RED RED RED", a cover of Bill Nelson's 1979 song by Bill Nelson, which was released by Be-Bop Deluxe after its breakup. Bill Nelson released a Japanese cover of "DON'T TOUCH (I'M ELECTRIC)" from his new wave/techno-pop album "Sound On Sound" in 1979 under the name NELSON'S RED NOISE, and "I'M ELECTRIC" features lead vocals by Reiichi Nakaiido (g., bvo, vo), Reiichi Nakai (g, bvo, vo) sings lead vocals on "I'M ELECTRIC".The two studio recordings include "Paradise GET TO PARADISE," a cover of an original song by Mari Kaneko with lyrics by Nagao Ishida and guest vocals by lead vocalist Minoru Uminuma, and "Karasu no Baby CROW'S BABY," a cover of a postwar hit children's song by the Otowa Yurikagokai with lyrics and music by Minoru Uminuma.
