In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Charles Mingus' birth, 8 titles have been reissued on UHQCD, carefully selected from his masterpieces and rare recordings on CD for the first time in Japan! This is a complete set of Mingus's two albums recorded at Studio Decca in Paris in 1970 and originally released on an American label in 1971 as "Bluebird" and "The Upright Ape Man". Disc 2 contains rare footage of Mingus' rehearsals and other takes, as well as Mingus giving instructions to the band members. This is the first CD release in Japan. (C)RS
