[Kenny Burrell's 90th Anniversary SHM-CD Collection] Celebrating the 90th anniversary of the birth of Kenny Burrell, a modern jazz guitarist with an urban and sophisticated blues feeling who has many fans, we are reissuing his classic and rare recordings from his heyday in the 1950s and 1960s. This is a live performance by a unique one-horn quintet featuring popular players such as Art Blakey, as well as the fantastic tenor player Tina Brooks. The band's hard bop playing is white-hot.
