To celebrate Queen's 50th anniversary, the long-unavailable "Limited Editions" of all 15 original album titles will be reissued in Japan only! Flash Gordon" (originally released in 1980): This is the ninth original album and soundtrack to the science fiction film directed by Mike Hodges, based on the American comic strip by Alex Raymond, which was serialized in 1934. Brian May, who led the recording process, delivers a fantastical sound with his heavy guitar and synthesizers, which were introduced in earnest from "The Game". The sound of "The Game" is a fantastic sound that makes this magnificent space opera-movie shine even more brightly. The opening song, "Flash's Theme," was released as an advance single and became a hit, reaching No. 10 in the UK and No. 42 in the US. It has since been used in a variety of settings and has become one of their signature songs.The bonus EP includes six songs, including "Flash's Theme (single version)" with dialogue from the film, a remix of "The Hero," early versions of "The Kiss" and "Football Fight," and a live performance in Montreal.
