[To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of modern jazz guitarist Tull Furlow (born June 7, 1921), whose overwhelming technique and sense of style have won him many fans, this UHQCD collection features all of his albums from the 1950s, when he was at the height of his popularity. Original LP liner notes in English with Japanese translation. New mini-commentary included. Tull has been away from the New York jazz scene for a while, but this is his first recording in a year and ten months. The session was held on the same day as "The Guitar Artistry of Tull Furlough," and this is the final album of Verve, which he had been a member of since 1954. This is a collection of works by the famous composer Harold Arlen, including his masterpieces "Zero Fear" and "As Long As I Live". Star player of the Basie band, Frank Wess, and others participate in this album. The exquisite solo interplay between these virtuosos is stimulating. World's first CD release in original format.
