[To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of modern jazz guitarist Tull Furlow (born June 7, 1921), whose overwhelming technique and sense of style have won him many fans, this UHQCD collection features all of his albums from the 1950s, when he was at the height of his popularity. Original LP liner notes in English with Japanese translation. New mini-commentary included. The last session with Eddie Costa, who had worked with the band for a long time as a regular member. From the opening song "Lean On Me," the two thrillingly exchange banter. Tull spins a dashing and exciting line, and Costa pummels out a divine phrase in his specialty, the mid-bass. The two dazzle with their high-technique solo relays.
