Description:
Melody Gardeau is one of the three greatest American female singers since 2000, along with Norah Jones and Madeleine Perreault. This is her first new album in five years since 2015's "Currency of Man: Memories of Encounters" (UCCU-1488), which was released in June and featured jazz violinist Naoko Terai, in addition to her own originals such as "From Paris with Love," which was also released in a hurry and attracted attention. In addition to her own originals such as "From Paris with Love," which was also released in June with the participation of jazz violinist Naoko Terai, and covers of jazz standards such as "Moon River" and "I Fall in Love to Easily," the album is a blend of her present and her roots. Also included is a duet with Sting, "Little Something," which will be released for download on September 4. The album was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Larry Klein (Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock) and arranged by composer Vince Mendoza (Bjork, Elvis Costello, Pat Metheny). All of them worked on her second album "My Only Thrill" (UCCU-5843), which became her breakthrough album, and the best lineup was used for the production of this album. On the composition side, he co-wrote the title track "Sunset in the Blue" with Jesse Harris, the composer of Norah Jones' hit song "Don't No Why. *This product will be available for sale on Friday, so products will be delivered on or after the day of release.
