Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" the year before last and "The Beatles (White Album)" last year (2018), this year's 50th Anniversary Edition of "Abbey Road" (released September 26, 1969) is now available in a 3CD + Blu-ray (audio) Super Deluxe Edition! The album is the last recording by The Beatles before they broke up, but it is a total collection of their greatest hits, including George Harrison's classic "Something," Ringo Starr's masterpiece "Octopus Garden," and the stunning medley that adorns the second half of the album, which is full of unity as a band. It was a worldwide smash hit, spending 17 consecutive weeks at No. 1 in the U.K. and 11 consecutive weeks at No. 1 in the U.S. It has continued to sell well to this day. The album is considered to be one of the greatest albums of their career, and has continued to expand in sales to this day, and has had a great influence on future artists. Disc 1 features a "2019 Stereo Mix" of the full-length album, reworked from an 8-track session tape by producer Giles Martin and mixing engineer Sam Okell.Their fresh mixes, which incorporate a modern perspective without removing the essence of the originals, have been highly acclaimed by fans and critics alike. Disc 2 and Disc 3 contain all the songs on the album, as well as singles from the same sessions, including "The Ballad of John and Yoko," "Old Brown Shoe," and "Goodbye" and "Come and Get It," which Paul McCartney gave to other artists. and 23 studio outtakes and demo tracks, in date order of recording.
