[Leonard Bernstein (1918.8.25-1990.10.14) was a star conductor who shared popularity with Karajan in the 20th century.) His passionate, emotionally charged, and soulful performances drew the sympathies of many, and he was loved by many with a charismatic following. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, 50 titles are being released in a limited edition with UHQCD, green color label coating, and sound quality-centered specifications. This is Franck's only symphony with a sensual and religious sound inherent in its austerity, as well as quiet contemplation and philosophical submergence. This live recording by Bernstein and the Orchestre National de France makes full use of the unique sound of French orchestras, and Bernstein's brilliant tone shines through in his rich narration. This is a live recording by Orchestre National de France, conducted by Leonard Bernstein, recorded live in Paris in November 1981.
