It is a disc for SA-CD compatible players only, and cannot be played on ordinary CD players. 2ch sound source only. This is a SA-CD to SHM version of the masterpiece disc left to Philips by David Oistrakh, one of the most famous violinists of the former Soviet Union. The recording is still as fascinating today as it was more than half a century ago, and has been listened to forever. This is the first time in 29 years, since 1998, that the complete collection has been re-released. The large capacity of the SA-CD format has been utilized to create a 3-CD set instead of the 4-CD set normally used for CDs. Latest DSD master production in 2017 at Classic Sound in the UK from the original Philips analog masters.
