[Minkowski has continued his remarkable career as the leader of Les Musiciens du Louvre (LMdL), an ensemble of ancient instruments that won the Grand Prize of the Recording Academy in 2002 for Handel's musical drama "Heraclitus. Minkowski's first recording of Romantic works. In Berlioz's time, wind instruments were frequently improved, and a mixture of old and new instruments were used. Minkowski conducts not only his hand-picked LMdL but also the recently energetic Mahler Chamber Orchestra, which reproduces the sound of these instruments with great skill. Rubidium clock cutting.
