The “Song Contest Grand Prix” is a joint project of the Japan Composers Association and the Japan Lyricists Association. The Song Contest Grand Prix, which is open not only to members of both associations but also to the general public, serves as a platform for discovering new talent. Hiroshi Fujiwara has been selected as the featured singer for the 2026 edition. The open call and selection process for the lyrics category have already concluded, and two works have been chosen: “The Last Train of Love,” with lyrics by Hiroshi Yonezuka, and “The Bar Where I Look Back,” with lyrics by Tomoya Fuyuki. Songs composed for these two works will now be selected through another open call and screening process, and Hiroshi Fujiwara will bring them to life through his vocals. (C)RS
