The essence of “crossover” perfected by the genius Katsunori Ishida. A powerful groove and a striking sound. The first album by the legendary group Zero-sen is reborn. Zero-sen was a group led for a brief period in the 1970s by Katsunori Ishida, who has worked on numerous television and film scores as a producer, composer, and arranger. With a fluid lineup, the group was active for only a short time before disappearing from the scene. The only works they left behind are two records produced as test discs for audio systems. However, these two albums would later gain worldwide attention as rare Japanese groove gems. This debut album already showcases a fully realized concept and sound. From “Scramble,” where the keyboard work shines against a surging groove, to “Circuit,” driven by a powerful beat, and the mellow Caribbean groove of “The Witch’s Whisper,” the album is flawless in every respect.
