Description:

In the spring of 2020, Akiko Yano and Hiromitsu Agatsuma will launch a collaborative unit! In addition to folk song covers such as "Kokirikobushi," a Toyama Prefecture folk song said to be the oldest in Japan, and "Saitarobushi," a Miyagi Prefecture folk song about oar rowing, "Funamachi Uta Part I, II" from Akiko Yano's debut album "Japanese Girl" is given a new lease of life in "Funamachi Uta Part III," and two new songs are also included. The album contains nine songs in total, including two new songs written especially for this album. Akiko Yano's piano and keyboard performance and Hiromitsu Agatsuma's shamisen performance, as well as the vocals on each song, sublimate the depth of songs born from Japanese lifestyle and culture that have been passed down through generations, and the min'yo songs with their unique Japanese cultural "ma" through the filter of the two musicians. The album is an ambitious work with many new musical experiments, including guest appearances by Kiyohiko Senba (perc.) and Kotona Shirato, a 12-year-old minyo singer. Paper jacket.
