Two years have passed since the previous work, "Symphony No. 1. Symphony No. 2", the second full-scale orchestral work by Shigeru Kishida, frontman of the rock band Kururi, was completed. The first performance of the piece was made into a work of art. The "Symphony No. 2" is the next work by Shigeru Kishida, who has shown great success as an orchestral classical composer with "Symphony No. 1," and it has a wide range of musical styles such as rock, jazz, reggae, folk songs from around the world, and pop music, as if the musicality he has cultivated both as Kururi and as Shigeru Kishida himself naturally exudes from it. Four movements. The symphony was performed on December 4, 2018 at the Nagoya Arts Theatre in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, and the string quintet and orchestral overture by Shigeru Kishida were performed in the first part of the concert. The symphony by Kishida, who is furthering his path as a composer, will be released in the spring of 2019. The booklet includes liner notes by Takaaki Aosawa, as in the first part.
