No.1 jazzy pop singer SHANTI's new album for 2014, her first in a year and a half, is an album of her heart's desire to sing "LULLABY". SHANTI's songs, which range from her pre-debut repertoire of Joni Mitchell, Sting, the Beatles, and Billy Joel to Eiichi Otaki, resonate warmly and naturally with an acoustic sound. The album also includes four original songs written especially for this album and the only Japanese cover of Eiichi Otaki's well-known song "Yume de Aitara". With Ryosuke Kihara (g) and Fumio Nishiyama (g), who have been her friends since her debut, as arrangers, SHANTI's world is based on an acoustic sound with elements of jazz, pop, folk, and R&B blended in perfectly. The drummers are Kiyoshi Kamata, the first drummer of Naniwa Express and a member of the Yama-Gen Band, Keisuke Kuwata Band, Hiromi Iwasaki, Junichi Inagaki, Ayaka Hirahara, Kosetsu Minami, and many others, and Hidenobu "KALTA" Otsuki, who has been supporting the Japanese jazz scene.The bassist is Akira Okazawa, who has been active as a studio musician since the 1970s and has supported the Japanese music scene with a wide range of activities from jazz to pop music, including Naoya Matsuoka, Sadao Watanabe, Minako Yoshida, Tatsuro Yamashita, Shuichi Murakami "Ponta", and many others. Keisuke Torigoe, who has been called the No. 1 young jazz bassist, will join the band. Pianists include Satoshi Shiotani, a new leader in the jazz world, and Takana Miyamoto, who is known for her sessions with vocalists such as TOKU, Maya Hatch, Gila Zylka, Keizo Nakanishi, and Haruna Rusaki, who has bases of activity in Japan and the United States.
