Description:

JK arts 1st independent label Light and Darkness" of the list drawn by Yunan Tamogami! After completing the master's course at the Tokyo College of Music, Yuna Tamogami studied abroad in Italy and Hungary for five years, and is now releasing her debut album. Yuna Tamogami specializes in technical works by Liszt and others, which is not only her preference but also partly due to the fact that she is blessed with hands that can reach from Do to Fa (above the octave) with both hands. This debut CD is an "all-list program" to take advantage of her unique character and advantages. The subtitle "Light and Darkness" reflects Liszt's wish to depict the duality of human nature - brilliance and fading, pride and fragility, love and conflict - all of which she attempted to portray in her music. < Thoughts on this CD> Yunan Tamogami (quoted from the liner notes) All of Liszt's works on this CD are precious and irreplaceable to me. I believe that Liszt was a composer who believed more deeply than anyone else in the hidden potential of the piano instrument. Literature, opera, song, water, love, philosophy--he believed that everything could be depicted by a single piano, and he sublimated this vast world into a universe of sound. As a pianist and a true lover of the piano, every time I come into contact with his works, my heart is violently shaken by his romance, passion, and endless spirit of inquiry. <Yunan Tamogami "It is as if he is telling a story with notes.Along with a delicate sound, I feel a soul with its own unique yearning and passion--" (From an article in the Westdeutsche Zeitung (Germany) newspaper) Graduated from the Piano Performer Course at the Tokyo College of Music. After completing the graduate course at the same university, she studied at the Liszt Ferenc Conservatory in Hungary and at the Perozzi Conservatory in Italy on a scholarship. She has won first prizes in eight international competitions, including the 39th Pittina Piano Competition Special Class Bronze Prize, the 1st Liszt International Music Competition (Rome), and the 10th San Dona di Piave International Piano Competition. She has given recitals in Japan, Italy, Spain, Germany, Hungary, and Slovenia. As a member of Trio Cuffo, she was selected for the "Act New Artist Series 2022" and "Phoenix Evolution Series. She was interviewed by Yomiuri Shimbun, Mainichi Shimbun, Kansai Ongaku Shimbun, etc. She won the first prize in the accompaniment division at the 2024 Asia International Music Competition (with Ayaka Tsuchida). She has performed at La Folle Journée, one of the largest classical music festivals in Japan, for two consecutive years, and will give a recital at Philia Hall in June 2025. She is a Miss Japan 2024 finalist. Tokyo M-Plus
